The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, is honored to host an amazing All for Alzheimer’s 5K Walk/Run Event. The 5K Walk/Run Event will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Wildewood Community Lodge, 23050 Wildewood Drive, California, MD 20619.
The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility for each other during the most troublesome times. Our vision is through community outreach and the ethos of The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation, the elderly will be supported, the youth will be educated, the hungry will be fed, the unclothed will be covered, and the impoverished will be restored. Therefore, The Carolyn E. Parker Foundation, serving as mentors and role models in personal, social and spiritual development, is focused on transforming lives by providing resources and offering much needed care and support to a diverse group of people.
With so many memories stolen, so many hearts broken, and so many families sadden, this Walk/Run event will focus on raising funds for Alzheimer’s research initiatives. We truly need a cure today! The proceeds will go to our nearest local chapter, the Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Chapter Southern Maryland Office. The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
